Japan Trip - 2008 (2)

May 29, 2008 Tokyo 4:00 AM

Not much sleep last night, don’t know why. I am usually the one who can sleep soundly all night long.

Is it because I am in Tokyo?
Is it because I will see him after few days?
Is it because I am not used to the bed in the hotel?
Or is it because I will go to Park BOF and Gosireh today?

Anyway, my feeling is kindda complex and I don’t know how to explain it. Today I gonna “explore” the city of Tokyo and gonna dress up a little bit to “fit” this city.

I get up and draw the curtain.

OH! My mood turnsdown…… IT IS RAINING outside. The sky is grey and the rain splashes on the window.

Sign........can not wear the skirt definitely.

Me and my hubby went to a small 24-hour restaurant and there we had some bento as breakfast.

WOO, they are yummy and guess what?? Not expensive at all! We only spend 12 bucks for our breakfast.

It was still early in the morning and almost all the stores are not open yet, so we went to a coffe shop called Excelsior Caffe. I ordered a Cappuccino for myself and a Caramel Mocha for my hubby. I always think that Americans are the originator of coffe-makers, but now I change my mind, compared with these two cups in front of me, those American coffee means nothing.

*The one has a heart on it is my Cappuccino

Even though I faxed my reservation last night, I still felt a little worried about it, so I decided to call Parkbof after 9:00am. I used the phone in my hotel room and began to make calls from 9:00, but I could not get through, either there was a busy tone or nobody picked up the phone. It's really wierd!! My hubby urged me to go out do the city sighting.

"Hey, come on, let's go out, why shall we stick in the hotel room?? what kind of phone call you make? it's already 9:30 and we can only spend 1 and half day in Tokyo. I don't want to waste my time, and if the call is important to you , you can use the phone in the subway as well!"

I had nothing to say just following my hubby. I was worried and nervous, what if they didn' receive my fax?? I have to talk with someone not the fax machine!

So when I saw the telephone in the subway, I grabed a lot of coins from my husband and rushed to it.

Still either busy tone or nobody picking up!! What does that mean?? My husband stared at me with a puzzling looking on his face, but he knew what happend, hehe , it must be related to that MAN.

FINALLY, there are someone alive! I began to talk with her in English, but she told me to hold on and then someone else picked the phone and began to talk with me in Korean! NO! NO! NO!
I am not in the vein to play the game with you guys! I used my limited Japanese to tell the staff that I need to talk with someone in English and I need make reservation. It took a while for them to realize what happened and I was very nervous and kept inserting the coins to the telephone. Another few minutes, finally a guy picked up and took my reservation! Yeah! it's done and now I can do the sighting freely.

We had our lunch at Ginza and the restaurant is recommended by the tourist book. I had beef with garlic bread and my hubby had a fried pork chop with pasta.

*My hubby's fried pork chop (Giant size)

After the lunch, we went to do the foot massage. hehe. my feet were so sour and painful cuz we kept walking in the rain.

It's nearly 4:00pm and we headed to the Parkbof which I had dreamed of for two days!

Even though I had a map with me and got an instruction from nice baesister bb's blog, I still got lost. Guess I am not that good at recognizing the road. especially the address is really simple and I had some difficulties to ask for direction as well.

Well, my hubby said there is only one way: Taking the cab!

I know it's round the corner, but it's really too confusing for me to find the right direction, so I took his advice and the taxi driver took us there only 2 minutes later!

Yeah!! see it!! It's Parkbof! Dang, Dang, Dang, here I AM!!

I stood beside the black doorplate and my hubby began to take pictures of me and there is a courtyard on the otherside which was covered by green carpet and there are some chairs and side tables, I sat on those chairs, Wow, it is so quiet and I felt leisure. It's really a good rest area for the Bae family members, especially for me, I had walked a long way to come here, hehe!

There is a long hallway towards the entrance of the door. On both sides of the hallway, there are a lot of poster of WLS. I saw Youjin, Joonsang, Minhyong on the wall. hehe, all these let me feel excited cuz I know I am now in the place of pilgrimage for all Bae Fans.

There is a reserved space for all the fans to leave their messages. What I put is:

Dear Park BOF - Tokyo,
Congratulations on your opening in Tokyo. The Chinese Family will support you always.
中国家人永远支持你。
And also, greetings from the Bay Area Bae Family in U.S.A.
Lynn (5/29/2008).

We were greeted by the staff at the door and after took off our shoes, we changed to slippers. It's a building with 2 flats and covered with hardwood floor.

At the door, there is a front desk. You can choose to buy membership or not. There are two memberships, one is the VIP with the price of 1500 yen, the other is Premium with the price of 2000 yen.

Before I was saying anything, My hubby told the staff:"One VIP and One premium please!"

I was led by the staff to a show room with some glass cabinet inside. in the cabinets, there are some goodies displayed.

THEY ARE ALL ABOUT OUR MAN! His posters, His key chains, His passport holder,His photo books........

I opened both my eyes and my wallet widely. I can not help touching every single item, I can't.

Woops, cannot be too greedy! my hubby was sitting at the corner observing me ........

I can not explore myself too much, can not let him know how crazy I am about that MAN!

I picked a passport holder, a set of postcards and some others. Thank for godness, I brought enough cash, cuz they couldn't accept credit card. I guess it may because they just open the day before and the credit card transaction machine hasn't been setup yet.

On the other side of the show room, there is another display area. All the items in that area are not for sale. They are the items wuri YJ used in the film of Hotelier. There are Frank Shin's watches, ties and accessories. I like Frank Shin so much that I almost put my nose on those displays.

On the second floor, there are 3 showrooms. One is Winter Sonata, one is Scandle and the other is TWSSG. There are some costumes that wuri YJ used in the filming.

The largest one among those 3 showrooms is Winter Sonata. In the middle of the room, Minhyong's classic costume was displayed: The orange Turtle neck sweater, the jeans and the beige long overcoat.

It's just displayed in the middle, how I wish I can touch them and feel them. They are what wuri YJ used. I began to ask the staff:"Can I touch them?"

Staff:"Yes, you may do whatever you like."

OH, Really??? Not Kidding, right?? whatever I like??? Yeah, Yeah, Yeah,

I held "Minhyong"'s arm immediately and leaned myself on his shouder. I closed my eyes and sniff at the smell of this costome...........

What on earth am I doing?? I heard the staff began to giggle.

Since we bought the memberships, we were offered two drinks and some special gifts. The gifts for the premium member is 2 clear file folder of wuri YJ and a diary book, the VIP gets diary book only.

Me and my hubby were sitting at the dining area drinking coffee.

'How much you've spent?" my hubby suddenly asked me.

'Huh,not that much, not that much, you know I just bought few items."

He looked serious, really serious. He is really a good hubby and I can not ask more.

And then he said:"Look, we came faraway to here, we spent few thousand bucks on this trip and do you think you will come to Tokyo again within a short period?"

'Nope"

"Ok, tell you, GO GRAB WHATEVER YOU LIKE, i have enough cash on hand, go buy whatever you like, I am not kidding cuz I don't want you to regret afterwards for not buying this or that! and also give you a suggestion, since you've spent that much, how about you return some and buy that Special Gifts Wrap? which includes that Joon's bear."

OH, Dear hubby, you really understand me, really! I am greatly touched! What can I ask more? huh?

Yes, I do want that Joon's bear but I dared not to buy cuz it costs around $200 and I am afraid you will be upset with me.

But now, I can buy it, I can!

So I returned some items I bought. Sorry for causing so much trouble to the staff. but they were very nice.

I got that Special Gifts Wrap: A Joon's Bear, A diary book, YJ's postcards, YJ's towels, YJ's luggage label.

I was overwhelmingly cheered up, but what happened next really gave me another surprise!

The staff told me that I was the first BYJ Fan from overseas so that they can offer me a free drink. Really?? I am the NO. 1??

I asked what kind of drink I can get. The staff began to recommend me YJ's favourite coffee.

Yes, I WANNA THAT, I kept nodding my head!

And also using two memebership tickets, I managed to get two chances to pick up places for my pictures. I selected two places to take pic.

1. Beside Minhyong's costume in Winter Sonata show room.
2. Beside those displays of Frank shin in the main show room.

* The special Gifts Wrap I bought

*The passport holder

*The Premium Membership gift

* YJ's Fav Coffee

*Parkbof Membership ticket
